I don't claim to be a very good Filipino (I don't know much about Filipino history, let alone its politics), but I do know that many Filipinos considered Cory Aquino a woman who freed the people.
I'm not very good at expressing myself, but all I have to say is that, just as Stevie Wonder spoke about Michael Jackson, the same goes for Cory Aquino: God must have needed her more.
